Tackling home improvement projects to increase energy efficiency can have big rewards, but the process is often daunting and expensive. For this reason, we are identifying members in your area that could qualify for a program that can help you accomplish energy efficiency projects in your home, at no cost to you!

The Chop-A-Watt Home Energy Saver Program is available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are interested you need to act fast! The participants must meet the income eligibility requirements and the program is directed toward low-to-moderate income members. Members who qualify could qualify for up to $12,000 in weatherization improvements to their home.

Energy efficiency measures for your home include upgrades in insulation, air-sealing to reduce air leaking into and out of your home and sealing the central heating and air conditioning duct work. Energy Star ® compliant appliance upgrades and a new high efficiency electric water heater are other possibilities. The installation of energy efficient Light Emitting Diode (LED) bulbs and energy efficient water measures like low flow showerheads and/or faucet aerators are on the list.You may also qualify for an upgrade to your central heating and air conditioning system.
