Choptank Electric Cooperative wants to help its members who have been struggling to pay their bills. We want to work with you to set up a payment plan to avoid disconnection. Please contact our Member Services team to set up a payment arrangement that will allow you to pay off any past due amounts over time as you resume paying your regular monthly bill.
Our Member Service Center is available from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 1-877-892-0001.
The State of Maryland has made available $170 million in assistance through the Office of Home Energy Programs (OHEP) at the MD Department of Human Services to utility customers who are struggling or unable to pay their bills. Residents who did not qualify in the past may qualify now.
