Building Energy Performance Standards

Maryland has implemented the Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS) as required under the Climate Solutions Now Act of 2022. Beginning in 2025, owners of covered buildings that are 35,000 square feet and larger (with some exceptions) will be required to report energy use data to the Maryland Department of Environment through an online portal. 

Choptank Electric Cooperative members can access their energy use data through SmartHub at https://choptankelectric.smarthub.coop/ui/#/login
