We are proud to partner with the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels to help preserve and explore the history, environment and culture of the Chesapeake Bay region, and make this resource accessible to all.

In early June, we are sponsoring professional lampist Kurt Fosburg's visit to St. Michael's to the move a Fresnel lens from the Hooper Strait Lighthouse located on CBMM's Navy Point to its new Welcome Center across campus. Historic lenses like this one helped light the way for boats passing through the shallow, dangerous shoals of the Chesapeake Bay for many years. As part of this project, we invite you to save the date for a public talk by Fosburg on June 8.
